As a trial we have had a couple of copies of the Driver magazine, or perhaps newsletter would be a better description, from the 1970's scanned. They make for interesting reading!

After many years of admirable service the traditional Saab Owners Club roundel is to be superseded with an all new logo. However, do not worry, the SOC roundel that many of us all know and love and instantly recognise as the Saab OwnersClub identity will not disappear, it will simply become the clubs ‘classic’ or ‘retro’ logo. The new logo is a more modern image that we hope will appeal to everyone, both classic and modern Saab owners.
Members of the SAAB Owners Cub receive a copy of the club magazine 'SAAB Driver' bi-monthly. The magazine (A4 size) is a 64 page colour publication. The magazine carries articles, news, technical, events and many other items.

Saab 99 Group 1 Tuning Kit
As the final round, the Galloway Hills Rally was not a scoring round for us and my driver took the decision not to contest it, giving me a chance to dust off the 99 for another blast through the woods. Martin MacCabe, a Scottish Championship regular kindly agreed to read the notes. With a two car team bolstered by Grant Inglis in his lovely new MK2 Escort we made a good spectacle as the service barges towed us into the Rally HQ in the pretty town of Castle Douglas.
The SAAB Owners Club recognises the importance of the Motorsport heritage of the marque and provides sponsorship to those members of the club who are competing in Motorsport at various levels.
SAAB cars have been competing in motorsport since the early days of production. Many successes were achieved through drivers such as Club President, Erik Carlsson. This success continues today through Club competitors.
Club members are competing in, Historic Road Rallies, Historic Stage Rallies, Classic Runs, Sprints, Hillclimbs and many other forms of the sport.

There is no formal Branch currently in operation (largely as a result of the sheer geographical spread of members across this area) and therefore no regular meetings.
Where possible, there is usually an SOC 'presence' at gatherings across the region organised by other clubs, motor museums or advertised on web forums (principally UKSaabs).
The dates known so far for 2017 at which we aim to be represented are:
