For sale is my beloved Saab 900 T16 Turbo convertible in silver.
This car has been a dream to own and is an absolute pleasure to drive.
I purchased this car on the 13th of may 2013.
I have done approx 11000 miles in the 6 years I have owned it.
Upon picking it up I drove straight to Two stroke to Turbo ( Saab Specialist ) in Royston and had it checked over and left it with them for some work to be done.
In total I've spent nearly £7600 on this car.
In no particular order :
New timing chain, seals and gaskets.
Modification on reverse gear which stops a common fault with these cars.
It had a new clutch fitted on 02/06/14 which included :
The car has only done approximately 8000 miles since new clutch was fitted.
New speedo cable
Air mass meter and engine tune up
New roof switch
New steering wheel
The car has the three auxilairy dials ( in the right part of the dash lol ) which look fabulous.
Turbo has been checked and vacuum hoses bypass valve replaced.
The underside of the car has been steam cleaned and under sealed.
The doors are solid with no corrosion underneath which is a common area.
It has had gear lever quick shift modification which makes it feel like you're changing gear rather than trying to stir in a large pudding bowl!! Makes the car feel very sporty!!
Its had the infamous Saab red box engine power upgrade ( a sort of remap ) which has boosted performance considerably.
Guessing approx 175bhp. ( I have no certificate to back this up though but boy does it shift!!! )
Jettex twin pipe exhaust system has also been fitted.
Driver side front window has had a new glass and guiders fitted with a new motor. Rear passenger side back window has also had a new motor.
Interior rear lights have been rewired so work brilliantly.
The electric mirrors work.
Heated seat works.
Electric Aerial works.
Cruise control works.
Has a cd/radio with 4 speakers which to be honest sounds surprisingly good!
The roof works as it should. No problems there.
Full leather seats.
Comes with red custom made Saab 900 mats with Saab 900 emblem.
There have been other bits and bobs done too numerous to mention but is all listed on the paperwork I have which you can check before purchase.
I also have the original hand book !!!
Polybushes have been fitted and car has had 4 wheel alignment.
All brake discs have been ground and lips removed ( was advised by twostroke to have this done rather than new discs as it would be better ) new pads all round.
Car comes with deep dish Saab aero alloys and tyres have gots loads of thread. The tyres have done approx 10000 miles.
It had a full service on 01/04/2019 at local Saab specialist with paperwork to verify.
It has only failed an mot once in my ownership of 6 years and that was because it ran out of fuel and it affected the emissions.
Filled it up and it passed straight away. Don't take my word for it check the mot website, its all on there.
Passed Mot with NO advisories.
Mot valid until 18/04/2020.
The bodywork is superb. In fact it has no problems anywhere.
Genuine reason for sale ( well had to say it everyone does!!! ).
I'm upgrading my daily driver so current daily and this are being sold to help finance it.
I have paperwork and invoices to backup 90% of the work ( some bits I had done for cash for which I have no receipts )
The Vehicle is listed as cat c.
Please don't let this put you off. The bodywork damage was done many years ago when it was just an old car.
Its now a classic and if same damage done now it this would not be the the case as is worth a lot more now.
I have health check paperwork from 2010, all clear.
The Saab specialists its been to had no idea it was a cat c. This tells you how minor the damage must have been.
The driver seat has some wear on back right hand side but leather is still good.
I've been as honest as I can.
Please only consider this If you're serious. The decision to sell was hard enough without having any frustration.
Its with very heavy heart that I'm selling this car.
I took my wife to hospital in this car to have our little girl and brought them home in it, so its been part of the family.
In fact as I write this I'm thinking why am I selling this !!!
To sum up if you buy this car all the big bill stuff has been done. So no big bills. Road tax is low too!
Mileage is irrelevant on these cars. The mileage on this one is nothing.
Mileage just under 147000 so just run in!
But on a serious note the car is in very good condition for its age. If you view it you'll be very tempted!!
Happy to take you out for a spin but I will be driving I'm afraid.
Any questions or viewings welcome.
Look forward to it.
I'm hoping the mot history and the extensive work thats been done will help balance out the cat c listing this car has. It drives like a dream.
Bank transfer or cash on collection.
The roof has been treated with a product called Renova by a Saab specialist so no issues there.
No leaks or drips.
The alloys are refurbished and are in very good condition.
The interior furnishing on the doors and in the rear has also been replaced.
The carpet is also in good condition.
Central locking works great.
The leather seats have been conditioned on a regular basis.
