Lincolnshire has lots to offer visitors, from the productive fenlands in the south to the glorious Wolds in the north of the county. There are sandy beaches at the coast and a host of delightful market towns; the Springfields Shopping Centre and Festival Gardens in Spalding; the delightful and historic town of Stamford in the south with nearby Burghley Park and the amazing Humber Bridge in the north. We should also not forget the county flagship, the city of Lincoln, with its magnicent castle and cathedral.
For aviation fans – and we should all be that with SAAB's history! – the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is based at RAF Coningsby, the Red Arrows at RAF Scampton and there is a Heritage Aviation Centre at RAF Cranwell.
The Cadwell Park website www.cadwellpark.co.uk, gives excellent information on accommodation nearby There is onsite camping for SOC members within the circuit, with shower and toilet facilities and electric hook-ups. Please note that, due to safety considerations, pets are not admitted to the site. Arrangements have been made for catering vans to be available for evening food and there is a cafe on site which will be open from 08.00 until 17.00 each day. Can we ask that you schedule your lunch break on the Saturday late, at 14.30, so we don't clash with the track day activities. The on-site caterers have also requested that menu options (where possible) are pre-advised for the Friday/Saturday from 08.00 to 17.00 to ensure smooth running, please use the booking form to indicate your choices.
Throughout the weekend, hot and cold drinks will be available at SOC reception in return for a donation to First Responders (anyone wishing to bake a cake etc to go with the drinks would be welcomed). It is also possible to camp on Sunday evening. Places for the track day are limited and are being subsidised by the Club. Nonmembers, who wish to join the Club to take advantage of the subsidy and pay by direct debit, will have the joining fee waived.
